These terms apply when you use thesmokeandsaltco.com or book with The Smoke & Salt Co., run by The Smoke & Salt Co.. By placing an order you agree to them.

What we sell

We sell freshly made food for dates you choose: seats at our monthly dinners in Chandigarh, grazing tables for events, and charcuterie platters delivered within Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula. You must be 18 or older to place an order.

Booking

• Platters need at least 2 days' notice. Grazing tables need at least 7 days' notice, and we build no more than 2 a month.
• Dinner seats are limited and are offered until the table is full.
• Your booking is confirmed only when your payment succeeds. A seat or date is held for 15 minutes while you pay.
• Please give an accurate phone number and address. We use them to plan and deliver your order.

Prices and payment

• Prices are listed on our pricing page in Indian rupees. The total shown before you pay is the full amount charged, including delivery within our delivery area.
• Orders are paid in full online. Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited through UPI, cards, netbanking and other methods shown at checkout.
• We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Razorpay's terms also apply to your payment.
• If money leaves your account but your booking isn't confirmed, contact us with the payment details. We will confirm the booking or refund you.

Changes and cancellations

All bookings are final, and we do not give refunds if you cancel. Our refund and cancellation policy explains your options, and what happens if we have to cancel or something is wrong.

The food

• Our menus follow what is foraged and in season, so a dish may be replaced with one of similar value. Photos show past work, and your order may look different.
• Our kitchen handles meat, fish, dairy, eggs, gluten and nuts, so we can't promise that any food is free of allergens. Tell us about allergies and dietary needs when you book.
• We make cured, smoked and fermented foods. If you are pregnant or have a weakened immune system, ask us or your doctor before eating them.
• Follow the storage and serving instructions we give you. Our food is fresh and made without the usual preservatives, so eat it within the time we advise.

Delivery and setup

Our delivery policy covers where and when we deliver. For grazing tables, you agree to give us safe access to the venue and a suitable table or space at the agreed time.

Your use of this website

The words, photos and designs on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Please don't copy them for commercial use, misuse the site, or place false orders.

Our responsibility

We take care with everything we make. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee. Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that can't be excluded.

We aren't responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our control, such as severe weather, road closures, or a government order. In those cases we will offer a new date or a refund.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. The terms in force when you ordered apply to that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please talk to us first, as most problems are solved quickly. If not, the courts at Chandigarh have jurisdiction.
